PRIVATE LESSON all levels and ages
One-on-one private lessons are available in 30, 45, and 60 minutes. Students may choose to enroll in a full-year program (32 weeks) or a semester program (16 weeks). Tuition for private lessons is pro-rated for students registering during the school year.
New students have the opportunity to meet with the director or the department head for consultation. Assignment of teacher is determined based on the student’s needs, goals, past experience, and availability. Whenever possible, students will be placed with the teacher of their choice. Students are not permitted to change teacher during the course of a semester; any change of teacher is at the discretion of the director.
PIANO FOR BEGINNERS (Level A & B) ages 4-6
Piano for Beginners is a 2-level group piano program for young beginners. These small classes provide an introduction to piano study in an engaging and supportive group setting. Classes will introduce and focus on finger coordination, proper hand position, basic theory, music reading, and ear training. Students who have completed both levels will have an opportunity to perform at Arete's student concert and receive an evaluation for further studies. Enrollment is limited to 4 students per class.
