| Areté Music Academy offers private lessons, ensemble classes, group vocal classes, seminars, and workshops for adult students. Whether you are just beginning your involvement in music or if music has always been an essential part of your life, it is our mission to provide a supportive educational environment so you may enjoy music for a lifetime.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are the best way to develop your music skills, whether you are a beginning, intermediate, or advanced student. Lessons are available in 30, 45, or 60 minutes. New students have the opportunity to meet with the director or the department head for consultation. Assignment of teacher is determined based on the student’s needs, goals, past experience, and availability. Whenever possible, students will be placed with the teacher of their choice. Students are not permitted to change teacher during the course of a semester; any change of teacher is at the discretion of the director.
Group LESSONS
Joining group lessons is a great and inexpensive way to learn or try out an instrument. Invite a friend or a family member to sign up together for group lessons in the following instruments. All group lessons are in 45 minutes length. Maximum enrollment per group class is four.
Chamber Music Reading Parties
Informal audition required
Have you wished that you can read through all the Mozart or Haydn quartets? What about playing a violin sonata with a skilled pianist? Share your love of classical music by joining our weekly chamber music reading parties. Professionals and armatures are all welcome. Please contact the office for schedule and details. Chamber Music Reading Parties is free of charge for all.
