A native of Japan, pianist Kanae Koshi received her bachelor’s degree from Toho Gakuen School of Music in Japan. She continued her studies in the U.S. at The Juilliard School, where she completed the Advanced Certificate degree, and Mannes College of Music, where she received a master’s degree. In 2005 Ms. Koshi gave her New York debut recital at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall as a winner of the Artist International Audition. She has performed extensively throughout Japan and the U.S. She also has been awarded top prizes in numerous competitions, including the Japanese American Association Music Scholarship Awards, All Japan Student Music Competition, Japan Piano Teachers Association Piano Audition, and the Nagano-Aspen Music Festival in Japan.
As a dedicated educator, Ms. Koshi has maintained a busy teaching schedule over the years for students of all ages and levels. Prior to joining the faculty at Arete Music Academy, she has taught at the Greenwich International Conservatory of Music and the International Academy of Arts and Science. Ms. Koshi also maintains a private teaching studio in New York City.
