Violinist Yura Seung-Jung Oh is currently pursuing her graduate degree at The Juilliard School. She is a pupil of Itzhak Perlman and Catherine Cho at Juilliard, with whom she has studied since 2004. She also received her bachelor of music degree from Juilliard.
A native of Korea, Ms. Oh began her violin studies at age five. She has given numerous solo recitals in New York tri-state area, including the University Club of Manhattan for the Perlman Music Program and the WMP Hall for Strad for Lunch series. She has won numerous awards and competitions, including the LISMA Foundation competition, New Jersey Philharmonic competition, Music World competition and Germany Association competition in South Korea.
Ms. Oh enjoys teaching students of all ages and levels. She has taught beginners from age 5 as well as students who are preparing for pre-college and college entrance auditions. She has been teaching privately since 2009 and was on the faculty of Vienna Music School in Bayside, NY. |
