The 2012 summer session at Arete Music Academy will run for 15 weeks, from Tuesday, May 29 to Sunday, September 16.
While weekly private lessons are available to students all summer, we also offer a range of summer music programs to students from ages 4 to 18. These enrichment programs are designed to foster creativities, performing arts skills, and teamwork.
Enrichment Program I - Music & Arts Exploration
The Enrichment Program I is a two-week summer program for children of 4 to 6 years old. Students will be immersed in hands-on experience of music, literature and arts. Each week students will be introduced to a different instrument family, such as strings (violin, cello, guitar), keyboard (piano), or winds (flute, bassoon). Daily activities include singing, instrument playing, storytelling, drawing, art making, and other guided activities. Early drop-off and late pick-up are available.

Enrichment Program II - Let's Make a Musical!
The Enrichment Program II is a three-week summer program for preteens who love to sing, act, and perform. Under the guidance of experienced teachers, students will create and perform their own musical. Curriculum includes creating characters, writing a script, singing, making props and costumes, and rehearsing for the final performance. Early drop-off and late pick-up are available.

5-week Accelerated Summer Program
A summer intensive music program designed for students to advance their artistic and musical development. The 5-week curriculum includes music theory, ear training, sight-singing and music analysis. Optional weekly private lessons are available to participants at a reduced rate. The program also aims to prepare students for assessment exams of The Carnegie Hall Royal Conservatory Achievement Program.
