Violinist Lily Wei Ye is currently pursuing a dual-masters in Music Performance and Education with the Manhattan School of Music and Columbia University's Teacher's College. She received her Bachelor of Music at Mannes College of Music.
Ms. Ye studied the piano from age 3 and the violin at age 6. She advanced in both before committing to the violin in high school. Since then, she has performed alongside her violinist mother many times in all three major concert halls of Shanghai. She is a prize winner of the 2016 New York International Music Competition. As an artist, she performs solo with the Shanghai Baroque Chamber Orchestra every winter break.
Ms. Ye has been teaching since 2010. She's taught from kindergarten up to high school seniors. She has experience with private lessons as well as group lessons. Ms. Ye enjoys spreading her love of music to young students and believes that everyone is capable of learning and excelling in music.
