A native of South Korea, flutist and pianist Min Ji Kwon first began playing piano at the age of four and flute at the age of ten. Ms. Kwon received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees with full scholarship from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she studied with Dr. Jonathan Keeble. Currently she is pursuing her doctoral degree at Rutgers University under the guidance of New Jersey Symphony principal Bart Feller.
Ms. Kwon has had more than ten years of teaching experience. After moving to New Jersey, she has taught flute, piano and music theory to students of all ages and levels at various institutions including Talent World Music School, The Most Music School, and Monmouth Academy of Musical Arts.
As a performing artist, Ms. Kwon has attended and performed at various music festivals including Illinois Flute Society and Pierre Monteux school music festival as an Ensemble Tremblay Scholarship recipient.
